Outline:
The TCS HackQuest 4.0 contest is conducted by the TCS' Cyber Security Practice Unit. Registration for the hackquest is called through TCS campus commune portal. In the digital world data is gold, Data now has more value than oil. The data is now the thing to steal. The data is virtual, travels digitally and is primarily online. State-sponsored spying missions are instituted to steal sensitive data from other states.
For the problem TCS is trying to create an army to protect the data with the same zeal as an army that keeps the physical boundaries of our country. We need them to know how the data is stored, moved and used. With more and more information online, from work to personal life, our data is more exposed than ever. How can we ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our data. In this context, the TCS Cyber Security unit is looking for students who are passionate about ethical hacking and, in general, by securing the digital future of organizations involved in the transaction of millions of data points around the world.
About Hackquest 4.0:
An online application based on the Catch the Flag (CTF) format will contain a set of challenges for registered participants to capture and submit. Each challenge would assess their ethical piracy skills and their particular skill in finding vulnerabilities. The selected participants would then engage in a face-to-face confrontation on specific cyber security skills.
