Contest Background:
Smart India Hackathon 2024 (SIH-2024) is a national initiative launched by AICTE and MoE aimed at providing students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives. Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a leading national initiative designed to inspire students to solve some of the most pressing challenges faced in daily life. Launched to foster a culture of innovation and practical problem solving, SIH provides a dynamic platform for students to develop and present their creative solutions to real-world problems. By encouraging participants to think critically and innovatively, the hackathon aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical applications.
Since its inception, SIH has achieved significant success in promoting out-of-the-box thinking among young minds, particularly engineering students across India. Each edition builds on the previous one, refining its approach and broadening its impact. The hackathon not only provides students with an opportunity to showcase their skills but also encourages collaboration with industry experts, government agencies and other stakeholders.

Contest Flow: (Upto Selection for Finals)
STEP 1:
SIH2024 Software & Hardware Edition: Problem statements submission by Central &State Ministries, Departments, PSUs, Industries & NGOs on the SIH portal.
STEP 2:
Review of Submitted PSs & finalization by concerned committee Publishing finalized PSs
STEP 3:
Registration of College SPOCs on SIH portal Blocking published PSs by SPOCs of Colleges or Institutes Internal campus hackathon to be conducted in each college or institute by their SPOCs on their blocked PSs
STEP 4:
College SPOC to be responsible to conduct internal hackathon in the campus College to finalize total best 25 teams + 10 waitlisted teams from the internal hackathon. SPOC to recommend the selected teams for SIH 2024 Software/Hardware edition at SIH portal
STEP 5:
Team leaders of the selected teams to be registered at the SIH portal to submit ideas Submission of ideas by selected teams against PSs by college SPOC for the SIH2024 Finale Evaluation of submitted ideas. Note: A team can submit solutions for maximum 2 Problem Statements
STEP 6:
Result analysis Publishing Result and Intimation to teams for Finale

Who can Apply:
All technology students from AICTE/UGC/IIT/NIT/IISER/IIIT/ Government approved educational institutions for Senior Level & School Students for Junior Level Can apply.
Team Composition: All team members must be from the same college (no inter-college teams), Each team consists of 6 members, including the team leader. At least one female team member is mandatory

PPT Guidelines:
Kindly keep the maximum slides limit up to six (6). ( Including the title slide)
Try to avoid paragraphs and post your idea in points /diagrams / Infographics /pictures
Keep your explanation precise and easy to understand
Idea should be unique and novel.
You can only use provided template for making the PPT without changing the idea details pointers (mentioned in previous slides).
You need to save the file in PDF and upload the same on portal. No PPT, Word Doc or any other format will be supported.
Rewards:
1 Lakh INR Per Problem Statement Ministry & Industry Problem Statement. If Required the Prize will be divided between not more than 2 teams per problem statement
