About the Organizer:
Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) is the incubation and acceleration arm of the Indian School of Business, set up in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. At AIC ISB we are working towards nurturing innovative start-ups by guiding them to become scalable and sustainable enterprises and towards developing the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The main initiatives at AIC ISB include:
Acceleration Program: To support mature stage start-ups expand and grow their businesses.
Incubation Program: To guide and support relatively early-stage start-ups
Pre-incubation Program: To guide and support entrepreneurs who are at the idea stage
Hackathons: To encourage and identify innovative solutions to the most challenging problems
Trainings and Workshops: To facilitate education & skill development in the field of entrepreneurship
About the Contest:
AIC - Indian School of business, a joint initiative of ISB and AIM, in collaboration with GIZ, Germany is excited to announce its first Grand Idea Challenge.
AIC ISB is committed towards creating impact by supporting high-impact start-ups in becoming scalable and sustainable enterprises. As part of our efforts, we seek to inspire and empower a generation of problem solvers and enable them to create solutions for the new challenges that have emerged due to the pandemic. COVID pandemic has severely affected the physical movement of goods, disrupted the supply chains and has resultantly highlighted the need for innovation in some of the traditional sectors. Overcoming these challenges requires an innovative approach and technology-based solutions.

Suggested Areas/Problem Statement/ Theme of the Contest:
Under the Grand Idea Challenge, AIC ISB invites everyone to share their innovative ideas and technologies or products under any of the following categories:
Mobility: Mobility sector has emerged revitalised, opening opportunities in indigenous manufacturing capacities, (electric vehicles, battery and charging management, high quality, and durable technical bicycle components)
Agriculture: Agricultural sector is witnessing the early signs of technology-led disruption and has the potential to build scalable businesses that can impact India’s large farming population
Smart-Manufacturing: Smart Manufacturing using automation, AI & IOT in industrial processes specially for the MSME sector, end to end technical support to the regional manufacturing ecosystem and implementing solutions to restructure processes post pandemic
Digitalization: Digitalization has helped the world remain virtually connected over the last one year and has emerged as a new normal. There are opportunities in development of application-based platforms, improve upon features in virtual interactions, user friendly interface, data protection and ease of operation & compatibility
Timeline of the Contest: Accepting applications till June 20th, 2021
Rules and Guidelines:
Participant should hold citizenship of India and currently residing in India.
Idea/ Product submission should fall strictly under any of the four categories mentioned.
Evaluation Process:
The application process begins with startups submitting an online application. After receiving the completed applications, our team will review the application on the parameters based on the:
Relevance of the problem statement
Adequateness is the solution towards addressing the problem statement
Innovativeness of the idea
Who can apply?
Applicants can be a student, Aspiring entrepreneur, PoC Stage ventures or early-stage ventures.

Applicants have to submit their application under the right category.

Three winners under each category (Total 12 winners)
